Born in the city of Barquisimeto in Venezuela, Popiño began his artistic career on the streets of Venezuela, where he performed his first street show. The street was his best school. 
 
He began to do shows for children's parties and private events. Popiño became the character of the Children's Foundation Leaving Footprints and had his own TV show in Venezuelan regional television station.
 
Afterwards he travelled to Colombia, where he had the opportunity to work at his first circus in Circo Medellín and experience the traditional circus. With this new experience he was able to participate in different festivals and circuses in Latin America. After that he travelled to Jordan where he worked in a big circus World Talents Theater and took its art to a new continent.
 
He arrived to the European continent to take his art to the new frontiers. He is currently based in Zagreb, Croatia.
